A mastectomy or lumpectomy shouldn't mean giving up the swimsuits you love. Our mastectomy swimsuits are built for women in every stage of the journey: pre-surgery, mid-recovery, post-reconstruction, or years down the road. Designed by someone who needed it
I spent twenty years in fashion, the last of them as Chief Merchandising Officer at REVOLVE, deciding what women would want to wear next.
Then, at 37, I was diagnosed with stage 2 triple-negative breast cancer. A double mastectomy, reconstruction, seven months of treatment and a feeding tube. On November 11, 2022, I was declared cancer-free. The next summer, we planned a trip to Maui.
I couldn't find a swimsuit.
Not because nothing existed. Because everything that existed had been built by people solving a medical problem, and nothing had been built by someone who cared how it looked. The suits with pockets were designed to be prescribed, not chosen. The pretty ones weren't cut for a body like mine. I was being asked to pick between feeling covered and feeling like myself, and I'd spent an entire career proving women shouldn't have to pick.
So I made the suit I wanted.
That's POST SWIM. Longer bands and higher backs, so a scar sits under the fabric instead of above it. Wider straps that cover a port scar. Soft cups and stretchable pockets that hold a prosthesis without announcing it. Removable padding for asymmetry, adjustable straps, clasp closures for the days your arms don't move the way they used to. We developed the fit with two board-certified surgeons, Dr. Lisa Guerra and Dr. Wendy Ng, so the details are right.
But that's the second thing you should notice. The first should be that you like it.
Every suit is cut and sewn in Los Angeles, and every one is named after someone I love. Coverage is a choice here, how much, where, and on which day. Some women wear these because of surgery. Plenty wear them because they're good swimsuits.
Both are the point.

Yes — several styles in this collection include a bra shelf with a pocket built to hold a prosthesis securely in place, so you're not adjusting or double-checking throughout the day. If you're shopping for a specific style, check the product description for a "prosthesis-friendly" note — a few pieces are built more for flat or au natural bodies and aren't designed for a form.
Our flat-friendly styles are built with no molded cups, so there's nothing to gape, dig, or pull away from your chest. Instead of forcing a shape, the fabric and support are designed to sit close and stay put, whatever your chest looks like right now.

Mastectomy styles are built to support prosthesis wearers, reconstruction, and implants, often with a bra shelf or pocket. Most flat-friendly styles skip the built-in cup entirely for a smooth, comfortable fit with nothing to shift or gape. Many women mix and match based on how they feel day to day.

This one's really between you and your surgeon — everybody heals on a different timeline. Once you're cleared for regular activity and swimming, we're here with suits designed to make that first swim feel good.
You have 5 days after delivery to request a return or exchange. Items need to be unworn, unwashed, with tags and the hygienic liner intact. Exchanges for a different size or color ship with no extra fee; returns for a refund have a $5 per-item restocking fee, and original shipping isn't refundable. Sale items are final sale.
